Swastika: The Indian wedding symbol of swastika is basically a cross form with four equal length arms that has ends bending towards the right. The name of the Indian wedding symbol of swastika is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘svasti’, which when broken down means, sv – well and asti – is. It means well being, luck and good fortune.
The auspicious swastika symbol is considered to be highly auspicious and thus it is quite often used in the art and architecture of Hindus.
